The Al-Assasif cemetery icludes a group of tombs of idividuals, most of which date back to the 18th Dyasty, as well as the twety-fifth ad twety-sixth families. However, some tombs from the fifth Dyasty were discovered. The area was used as a royal cow i the secod half of the family era eleve. The walls of these tombs cotai may scees that show some religious beliefs such as the pilgrimage to Abydos. They also icluded may scees of daily life, such as agriculture, hutig i the bush, fu ad dacig. Oe of the most importat of these tombs is the tomb of Babasa, which dates back to the time of Kig Bassmatik I of the 26th Dyasty, where he held may importat positios, icludig the post of chief priest of Amo, the priest of Thoth, the kig’s adviser ad other importat posts. The cemetery is located i the moutaiside. The cemetery features a variety of daily life scees, icludig a picture of beekeepig, as well as some scees depictig Babasa with his family i worship or fuerary scees with a group of goddesses associated with the other world.
